My name is Therese and I have been dance teaching/hosting and project managed dance events for 18 years. From Hip-hop battles to Dancehall parties, from couple dancing to kids classes - Dancing is one of the most powerful things to connect us between generations. I believe dancing is for everyone, and the rising trend of Old school RnB parties in Amsterdam just shows that more people want to come out and enjoy music and dance together. Therefor it is time for Bos en Lommer to have our own block party in the park and make it a family day for free.

Normally, you have to choose: 1. either you go to block parties where kids or youngsters are excluded or 2. grown-ups don't get to vibe to the music they grew up with. But what if we could have both? This Dance Block Party will have free dance classes for: 1. parents having their small kids in carriers, 2. children who want to try Hip-hop, 3. Teenagers who wants to try their first freestyle battle, 4. adult couples who never dares to try couple-dancing, and 5. even seniors who can choose to sit while enjoying a dance class. Next to this, you can enjoy dance performances and just listen to a DJ spinning music on a small stage. Free for all, bring your own blanket and picknick and enjoy a day for everyone.
